Astrology found Ipek in 2018 when she was a senior in college. She was reading one book that changed her perspective on inner work then: Carl Jung's Memories, Dreams, and Reflections. The words archetype, shadow, feminine, and masculine have already been in her mind. She was practicing yoga philosophy, thinking about the "truth." Just like a Sagittarius, her birth chart said. Suddenly, she came to a realization that astrology might have completed everything she was looking for. She started taking astrology classes from a few astrologers back home in Turkey. After moving to New York City, she got her Applied Archetypal Astrology Certification from the Pacifica Graduate Institute. This time, she got to study this ancient wisdom from the best astrologers alive, like Steven Forrest and Laurence Hillman. 

Ipek describes astrology as "the language of energy." This description reminds her of one thing her Spanish language teacher told the class. "I am teaching you culture because I would not want y'all to speak this language and have nothing to say in it." She incorporates mythology, Jungian psychology, taoist tales, and more in her readings. She teaches clients how to say the right things with their birth charts.

Ipek lives in Ridgewood, New York, a few blocks away from Get Right Wellness. When she is not writing about and consulting about astrology, she is studying for her master's in Psychology and teaching English & Turkish to adults. She has seven planets in the sign Sagittarius. She is a lifelong student. (and sometimes a teacher.)
