Emily Brunsten, LCSW

Pronouns: She | Her

Emily believes that psychotherapy is both a process and a relationship, in which healing unfolds as a result of the connection between client and therapist. She encourages clients to hold compassion for and curiosity about themselves as they endeavor to discover more about their inner worlds.

Emily practices psychodynamic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to offer clients a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges in their lives, as well as past trauma that might be keeping them stuck.

She believes there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, and is able to incorporate skills and techniques based in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) when they fit a client’s needs.
