Franny Valdez

Franny is a queer, afro-Latinx yoga teacher and reiki practitioner based in Queens, NY with Pittsburgh, PA roots. As a queer practitioner, fostering a welcoming environment for folks of all genders, identities, and walks of life is both deeply important to her and held within the practices she offers. Through the combination of reiki, intuitive movement and energy work, Franny’s practice shapes a nurturing and client-oriented experience; while listening to your unique needs and choosing the appropriate tools to address them. 

In 2021, Franny completed studies at Sacred Social House (formerly known as Prana-Veda) and received her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certification. Inspired to explore the bridge between the body, movement, and energy, she received both my Level 1 & Level 2 Reiki training from Sacred Space Astoria, in Queens, NY and MahaRose in Brooklyn, NY, respectively. Franny is currently studying with Jillian Pransky Yoga to complete her 95hr Restorative Yoga Teacher Training certification. 

In addition to these studies, Franny’s 20+ years as a dancer in the performing arts, trauma training education, and extensive experience in both the hospital and rehabilitative settings has supported her work with all clients in connecting to ease within their minds and bodies - including those with varying physical abilities, hospital patients, and nursing and assisted living residents. It is an honor for Franny to bring this work and care to all of these spaces!
